MVI:

According to DriveBC, on Thursday evening January 2, traffic on Highway 14 was impacted in both directions due to a multi-vehicle incident between Manzer Road and Gillespie Road for 0.8 km.

There was single-lane alternating traffic. The incident seems to have been resolved by about 9 pm (according to DriveBC webcam) which was ahead of the next update that was scheduled for 12:15 am this morning.

Meanwhile, there has been a scheduled maintenance event for utility work (aerial cable placement) at three points along Highway 14, in both directions for 13.4 km between Parkland Road and Awsworth Road (between Langford and Sooke).

That started at 10 pm last night and is scheduled to be completed by Friday morning at 6 am.

There has been single lane alternating traffic, expect minor delays. Watch for traffic control as well as speed reductions and work crews, says DriveBC.
