Humpback open Sept 4 & 5 for short term flow-through

Canada 200 stock car race will be held at Western Speedway on the long weekend.

The gates on the Humpback Railway crossing on Humpback Road in Langford will be temporarily re-opened on Friday and Saturday of the Labour Day long weekend.

This is due to what the City of Langford expects to be “in anticipation of potentially high volumes of traffic leading into the Labour Day long weekend”.

There is the Canada 200 stock car race event at Western Speedway this weekend that will then be televised on CHEK TV on Sunday September 6.

Humpback Road railway gates will be open temporarily on September 4 and 5, 2020.

The gates will be opened to single lane alternating traffic only, during specific times:

  • Friday, September 4 from 12 noon to 9 pm and
  • Saturday, September 5 from 7 am to 12 noon.

Vehicles will be directed through the single lane alternating area by traffic control personnel. Motorists are asked to obey traffic control directions
