A relatively upbeat first half continued with steady momentum in the second half, seeing a final 1:1 game score for Pacific FC vs Cavalry FC today April 23 at Starlight Stadium.
Cavalry FC brought their aggressive edge to the field in Langford vs Pacific FC for a slightly higher-energy game than the April 15 season opener. They can’t have been too happy about producing an own-goal in the first half, but at least Cavalry FC won’t return to Calgary with a loss.
There was no late-game magic for Pacific FC. They dug out one point today in this match week #2. After the game, Pacific FC midfielder Sean Young (Jersey 20) said they have “the depth and the talent” to keep playing “better and better”. “We have a winning culture here,” he told sportscasters after the game.
Today’s official game attendance at Starlight Stadium: 2,455.
Coaches and team captains:
- Pacific FC: Coach James Merriman | Captain Josh Heard (Forward / 11)
- Cavalry FC: Coach Tommy Wheeldon Jr | Captain Marco Carducci (Goalkeeper / 1)
This is the third home game for Pacific FC (April 15, April 20 and today), followed by an April 30 game before they go on the road. | Games posted in the Island Social Trends Community Calendar.
