Sooke Seedy Saturday draws a big crowd each year.
The annual event held at Sooke Community Hall on Saturday March 29, 2025 is expected to see strong participation as people continue to learn about and undertake growing their own food.
The long growing season on south Vancouver Island is key to the success of food-growing in the Sooke region.
The event from 10 am to 3 pm will feature vendors with seeds to sell as well as plants, supplies and services.
The event is organized by the Sooke Region Food CHI Society. The theme of their organization is ‘building a robust local food system’.
There will be workshops and videos, activities for kids, homemade food, and a prize draw.
Admission is free or by donation.
Sooke Community Hall is on Shields Road in town centre. Street parking around and beyond the area.
