The 2022 Sooke Santa Parade on Sunday December 4 will be a big part of holiday season action in the growing community of Sooke.
Organized by the Sooke Lions and the District of Sooke, the event usually draws a large crowd for the outdoor night time fun. The Sooke Lions also acknowledge help from Sooke District Lioness Lions & Sooke Harbourside Lions.
The fun begins at Evergreen Mall at 4 pm with complimentary hot chocolate, hot dogs and cookies.
The parade will run from 5 pm through to 6 pm on Sooke Road (Highway 14) from Sooke Elementary School to Townsend Rd.
Blocking Highway 14:
Highway 14 will be blocked to through-traffic (from Charters Rd to Otter Pt Rd) during 4:30 to 6:30 pm. [Island Social Trends TRAFFIC PAGE]
But there’s a detour: Charters Road > Throup Rd > Church Rd > Wadams Way > Otter Point Rd.
“Thanks to the volunteers making the event possible and for patience on the road while we come together for the festivities,” said the District of Sooke in a Tweet today.
Other evening activities at Evergreen mall:
Pre- and post-parade activities will be held at the Evergreen Shopping Centre.
