Canada Day July 1 will be a party atmosphere at Westhills Stadium in Langford, for the next Pacific FC home game. Up against Cavalry FC.
The beer gardens happy hour runs from 1 to 2 pm. A few vendor booths along field are where you can also pick up some Pacific FC swag and learn more about activities in the region.
Gates open at 1 pm, with kickoff at 3 pm. This will be the second home game where Pacific FC hosts Cavalry FC.
The first 2,500 fans for this July 1 game will receive a Canada flag for waving in the stands! The most recent game on June 23 (against Edmonton FC) saw over 4,600 seats filled.
About 29% of single game tickets are purchased in the west shore, says Pacific FC VP Operations Brad Norris-Jones. About 20% of season’s tickets have been purchased by people who live in the west shore.
There is parking near the stadium as well as overflow parking available at nearby lots (including the YM/YWCA up the road on Langford Parkway, and in a city lot at Constellation Avenue and West Shore Parkway).
The stadium is still under construction in some sections, with more bleachers being added at the west end of the field. That is aiming for completion before the August 24 game.

Pacific Football Club (2-5-2) return to Westhills Stadium for a Canada Day matchup versus the Spring League Champions Cavalry FC (8-1-0). Gates 1 pm, kickoff 3 pm.
Pacific FC found their form this past week ending a winless streak in Manitoba versus Valour FC with a 2-1 win. However, a quick turnaround with injuries to multiple players including Marcus Haber and Lukas MacNaughton gave the youngest side in the CPL a tough test versus an experienced Edmonton side. The Island contingent started an impressive seven U-21 players in Sunday’s game. Despite hitting two posts and an unbelievable goal from Pacific’s Victor Blasco, the away team found the back of the net three times to claim the victory.
The West Coast representatives will be eyeing a win on Canada Day as a positive end to the Spring Season. Pacific FC will be hoping for three points ahead of the rematch versus Cavalry only five days later on July 6th to kick-start the Fall Season.
“The boys have been excellent, we are training very well,” commented Pacific FC assistant coach James Merriman. “The players are keeping a positive mindset — always wanting to improve and we will continue to put in the work. Looking forward to Cavalry on Canada Day.”
Cavalry FC led by head coach Tommy Wheeldon Jr. have been impressive all season despite their unbeaten run coming to an end this past week versus second place Forge FC. The familiar crop of players that featured under Wheeldon previously bounced back, taking down York9 FC to clinch the Spring League title later this past week. With the title clinched, the Alberta side will look to continue their dominance with a victory on the West Coast.
Canada Day is an important game for Pacific FC as they look to finish off the Spring Season with a win ahead of the opening game of the Fall season back at Westhills Stadium versus Cavalry FC on July 6th. Meanwhile, Cavalry FC aim to finish the Spring Season clear at the top of the table with three points at Westhills Stadium.
