CPL #GotGame Open Trials Makes its Final Stop in Victoria– November 5 and 6

Soccer players from across British Columbia and beyond will be in Victoria on November 5 and 6 with the goal of earning a spot on a Canadian Premier League club roster during the #GotGame Open Trials.
Former Canada Men’s National Team star and Canada Soccer Hall of Fame member Alex Bunbury will lead the trials in each location. Bunbury will be joined by Canadian Premier League coaching staff who will assess participants during the two-day session.
Pacific FC coaching staff will be in attendance scouting for potential players at the final stop of the 7-city #GotGame Open Trials. Over 1,400 athletes will have tried out at the completion of the trials.
Tryouts are held over a period of two days at the Finnerty Road sports field on the University of Victoria campus.
On Day 1, each player will be evaluated through a series of fitness exercises and testing, soccer specific drills and assessments. At the end of Day 1, a limited number of players will be selected and invited back for Day 2, which will focus on small-sided and 11 vs. 11 games.
Registration opened August 29 at canpl.ca/gotgame . The #GotGame Open Trials schedule has been rolled out in these cities: Halifax: Sept 20-21 | Montreal: Sept 27-28 | Hamilton: Oct 1-2 | Toronto: Oct 11-12 | Winnipeg: Oct 18-19 | Calgary: Oct 25-26 | Vancouver Island (Victoria): Nov 5-6.
Attending the November 5 and 6 trials in Victoria will be Pacific FC President Josh Simpson and CEO Rob Friend.
Pacific FC Assistant Coach James Merriman will be there to lead CPL club coaches and over 200 aspiring soccer players. Coach Michael Silberbauer arrives from Europe in the new year.
