The public is invited to the Parliament Buildings for the 39th annual Christmas Lights Across Canada celebration, on Thursday December 7 starting at 6 pm.
The festivities include the lighting of the sequoia tree on the front lawn and musical performances by the Victoria Children’s Choir, along with an indoor performance by Reynolds Secondary School Carol Band.
Seasonal treats will also be provided indoors.
Christmas Lights Across Canada:
Christmas Lights Across Canada was introduced in 1985 and features monuments and sites in provincial and territorial capitals throughout Canada coming together to celebrate the holiday season.
MLAs in attendance:
In attendance will be Ray Couchan, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly; Spencer Chandra Herbert, Deputy Speaker of the Legislative Assembly and MLA for Vancouver-West End; and Grace Lore, Minister of State for Child Care, and MLA for Victoria-Beacon Hill.

Main exterior staircase and inside the Parliament Buildings, 501 Belleville St, Victoria.
