Most of tonight’s 2,483 BC Hydro customers without power tonight in the South Vancouver Island region are in Sooke — 2,398 of them as of 11:57 pm.
There are wind gusts on the west side of the island tonight, and continued heavy rainfall.
There are also some outages on Galiano Island, Ganges, and Mayne Island as well as about 10 customers without power in the Lake Cowichan area.
