In keeping with federal and provincial public health direction regarding COVID-19 (coronavirus) and a provincial order to cancel gatherings of 50 people or more West Shore Parks & Recreation Society (WSPRS) says it will close all facilities at day’s end on Tuesday March 17.

That’s until further notice.

Meanwhile, WSPR says this closure does not affect spring break camps which will continue to run until pick-up Friday March 20.

WSPRS says it will not accept any new registrations for spring break camps.

“We recognize many families and individuals rely on the recreation programs WSPRS offers. These are exceptional circumstances and we ask for your patience while we continue to determine next steps as more information is made available,” said WSPR Chief Administrative Officer Grant Brown this afternoon in a news release.
