View Royal 20250: Our Future View is the topic of a community workshop on Saturday October 18.
View Royal 20250: Our Future View is an update to the Town of View Royal Official Community Plan (OCP).
There are also two drop-in community workshops: October 18 and October 22 (see Island Social Trends Community Calendar for details).
There is also a public input survey — online or printed (available at View Royal town hall) which is open until November 9.
Western Gateway Community Corridor:
The Town of View Royal is in many ways part of the ‘west shore’ or formerly known as ‘the western communities’. But it is fairly centrally located between Saanich/Victoria and Langford/Colwood.
This phase of the engagement process focuses on the Western Gateway Community Corridor. That’s the area along Island Highways between the Colwood border and the Atkins Interchange (bordering on Langford).
Points of discussion include The Blink RapidBus line, the Galloping Goose Trail, and nearby neighbourhoods.
Future land use options are being considered for that area.
