The Royal Bay Crit (Bicycle Race) will impact streets in the Royal Bay area of Colwood for four hours on Saturday August 2.
A criterium or “crit” is a bicycle race held on a closed circuit, often in an urban setting, with multiple laps.
From 10 am to 2 pm cyclists will follow a 1.1 km route (23-minute time) in Royal Bay South: Quarry St, Producers Way, Ryder Hesjedal Way, Tradewinds Ave.
Cyclists should note there are left-hand turns.
Drivers in the area are to obey traffic signs, reduce speed, and use caution; choose other routes if possible.
This is the BC Day long weekend.
