The Brick’s newest showroom will be unveiled today in the heart of Richmond.
A successful retailer of home furniture, mattresses, appliances, electronics and more, The Brick has become well-established as a go-to source for range of affordable home furnishings and a pleasant shopping experience.
For today’s downsized homes, the retailer carries a large selection of apartment and studio-sized furniture.
Canadian brand:
Based in Edmonton, the company was launched in 1971. Calling themselves ‘proudly Canadian’ they operate more than 209 stores across Canada. The new store is part of serving a growing Greater Vancouver market.
Going counter-trend to online shopping, The Brick pursues the in-store experience model including “hiring exceptional people who are friendly and energetic”.
The retailer says on their website that they work with their suppliers to offer good pricing for customers. Delivery service is a specialty.
They’ve succeeded in having a brand motto that people remember and in itself produces pre-sales: “At The Brick, we’re dedicated to saving you more.”
Richmond store opening:
The new 43,000-square-foot showroom in Richmond will offer an unparalleled shopping experience for customers, the retailer said in promoting their launch that happens today at 5 pm.
The preview opening this evening will feature an official ribbon-cutting ceremony, live music, traditional lion dancers, on-site artists and an assortment of food and beverages.
The official Grand Opening for the public takes place on Saturday July 19. That event will feature an eye dotting ceremony, a lucky lettuce toss, and complimentary Chinese bakery treats. A traditional lion dance performance will begin at 2 pm.
As part of the festivities, The Brick is offering showroom visitors the opportunity to win over $20,000 in prizing, including a $10,000 Brick shopping spree, from July 17 to 31, 2025 (restrictions apply).
