Highway 4 was reopened on June 23, 2023.

Three day-use parks will be closed to the public until Highway 4 fully reopens:

Those will be temporarily closed to help reduce traffic congestion and keep traffic through the corridor flowing smoothly.

Highway has been closed for safety reasons as a result of the wildfire in the Cameron Lake area.

The temporary closures will assist the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure (MOTI) in its efforts to reopen Highway 4 to single-lane-alternating traffic.

The re-opening on the weekend of June 24 and 25 is still the present timeline. That depends on the progress of shoring up the slopes from debris that might otherwise fall onto the highway.

Once the highway has fully reopened, BC Parks looks forward to welcoming back visitors.
