Rain today continues, about 10 to 15 mm. Wind southeast 20 km/h except 40 20 km/h near the water. High 11°C.
After a full rainy date, the Environment Canada forecast shows rain ending near midnight then cloudy skies. Wind southeast 20 km/h. Low 7°C.
No snow this winter so far:
Other than a bit of snow at high elevations around Christmas, there has been no snow in Greater Victoria this winter so far.
Rain harvesting:
Households, farms and gardens that are set up for rain storage are able to capture a lot of water in this sort of weather.
Stored water can be used for getting food gardens and landscaping started in the spring.
Rain at this time of year also boosts the CRD water reservoir levels toward higher demand phases in dry spring and summer weather.
