It’s time to make your home spooky in View Royal! The View Royal Halloween Spooktacular decorating contest has been launched!
“This is a great way of promoting community within View Royal while celebrating the spooky and fun side of Halloween,” says Town of View Royal Councillor Damian Kowalewich.
“The top three spookiest places will receive a gift delivered by a member of View Royal Council!”, says Councillor Kowalewich.
Nominations open Oct 20 to 26:
As of October 20, 2023 the Town is receiving nominations for addresses in View Royal for homes/businesses with the best spider webs, skeletons, goblins and ghouls.
Voting starts Oct 27:
After nominations, the public will submit their votes for addresses they think deserve to be recognized as the spookiest place on the block.
Council members will then deliver prizes to the top three addresses!

| 1. Decorate Your Home/Business and/or Nominate an Address. Have you seen a home or business decorated for spine-tingling chills and hair-raising thrills? Anyone can nominate; you can even nominate your own address! All addresses must be located in View Royal. Nomination period is open until: October 26, 2023. 2. Take a Spooktacular Tour. Take a tour around View Royal to view the nominations. Halloween Spooktacular Tour Map (available after nomination period ends) | ||||||
3. Vote for the Most Spooktacular Address Vote for all your favourites from the list of nominations. Voting period starts October 27, 2023. |

The various View Royal neighbourhoods listed are shown on the map below (from last year’s Christmas lightup season): Atkins, Burnside, Craigflower, Harbour, Helmcken, Hospital, Thetis and Wilfert.
