Tomorrow afternoon and evening, August 14, the second annual Quadra Night Market will be held from 3 to 8 pm at 950 Kings Road.
The event is a fundraiser for the Mental Health Recovery Partners South Island (MHRP SI) and the Quadra Village Community Centre (QVCC).
Proceeds and donations raised will be split between MHRP SI and QVCC, two registered nonprofits offering free, self-referral, life-impact services to the community.
The event includes range of local vendors including food vendors Greek n’ Go and Hazel’s Ice Cream, an online 50/50 raffle draw, a curated clothing thrift section with donations from second-hand and vintage stores around town, lawn games, and more.
Suggested admission fee is $5 (free admission for children and youth under age 16). Non-perishable food donations welcomed at admission.
“We hope that this partnership continues to flourish and supports us to raise awareness about the services and programs offered by each organization,” said Kyle Clancy, Youth Coordinator at QVCC.
“Both Mental Health Recovery Partners South Island and the Quadra Village Community Centre offer amazing, accessible programs that include support for mental health, food distribution, youth and family services, and so much more,” said Zoë Newson, Transitional Discharge Model Peer Support Manager, MHRP SI.
