The face of Westhills Stadium is changing daily, as construction of new bleachers continues as quickly as possible.
About 5,100 people are expected to fill the stands on Sunday April 28 for the inaugural Pacific FC game against the HFX Wanderers. Gates open 1 pm, game starts 4 pm, followed by a concert and fireworks. Word is there will also be a fly-past over the stadium. Excitement is building!
This past weekend the installation of themed seating — purple and white chairs spelling out P F C in the stands — was done, one chair at a time. The letters are created with purple chairs, with the other chairs being white for background. The specialized seating will remain in place all season.
Tickets for the April 28 inaugural game and the full season are available on the Pacific FC website. Single ticket (general admission) prices range from $25.30 to $36.85 each.
Shuttle transportation is available. From Darcy’s Downtown, Darcy’s Westshore, and Strathcona Hotel are available. Details online at https://pacificfc.canpl.ca/5139-2 where you can also find information on transit routes to the stadium. The most direct BC Transit bus routes to Westhills Stadium are the 50, 39 and 51.
A veritable army of organizers and promoters as well as the coaching team and players are in high gear getting ready for Sunday’s exciting first game.
