View Royal residents were invited to participate in the Hello View Royal! photo contest by taking a photo to share Canada Day greetings with the township.
The contest categories were:
- Waves, elbow bumps, or creative greetings (in an effort to make the most of physical distancing)
- Nature Arts & Crafts
- Signs (yard, handheld, T-shirts)
At the end of July, the township congratulated contest winner Cathie Blanchard, who accepted a Canada Day prize package from Mayor Screech for her winning submission. Her prize included:
- I love Canada flag gift pack
- Food gift certificates
- Picnic basket filled with local goods
Sand, shells and pebbles:
Cathie’s “Nature Arts & Crafts” image utilizes the town’s logo in sand, shells, and pebbles. Her photo was taken on the recently renovated waterfront access at the end of Beaumont Road.
Cathie noted the waterfront is great spot to enjoy the warm summer days.
The Town of View Royal thanks all participants who took part in the contest!
