The Pacific FC team has had a tough start to the Fall Season, playing hard but dropping their last three games despite narrow margins. Defensive errors have been a problem throughout the beginning of the second half of the CPL schedule, says the Pacific FC media rep.

The young Island contingent continues to grow and find a way back into games clawing back to within one in each of their most recent games. The front trio of Ben Fisk, Terran Campbell and Victor Blasco has brought a welcome sight to the West Coast. Campbell is tied with Cavalry’s Sergio Camargo in second place on the goal-scoring charts with 5 goals.

Pacific FC will look to make a statement on Saturday in front of the Vancouver Island crowd grabbing three points.

“We are still developing,” said Pacific FC head coach Michael Silberbauer. “The guys are coming back from injury – so hopefully there will be positive competition within the team soon, I look forward to it,” Silberbauer said in a news release today. “I’m happy in the offence, we have now consistently scored goals. I’m very pleased with that but we need to let in less.”

“HFX is another team that is developing and they have some really good individual players that can decide a game and we need to be aware of those players,” said the Pacific FC coach.

HFX had a great Fall Season opener at home versus York9 FC grabbing three points with a 1-0 victory. The Wanderers dropped their second game vs Cavalry with a late winner from the Calgary side. The Halifax side, led by head coach Stephen Hart look to grab three points on the West Coast following a 2-0 loss at Tim Hortons Field versus Forge FC.

Meanwhile, HFX Wanderers FC will want to capitalize in the Coastal Clash and grab three points on Pacific FC turf.
