Pacific FC had a tough start to Canadian Premier League (CPL) life with multiple injuries to key players throughout the squad, say Pacific FC organizers. However, the youngest side in the CPL under Coach Michael Silberbauer were able to fight back, ending the Fall Season with a (3-5-2) record.

The Island contingent leads the league with U-21 minutes and looks to replicate that impressive 3-1 win over Cavalry FC as seen on Canada Day.

Victor Blasco is a player to watch this Saturday with three goals in back-to-back games.

The West Coast representatives will be eyeing three points at Westhills Stadium to get the Fall Season off to a bright start.

Despite dropping the final match of the season to Pacific, Cavalry FC led by head coach Tommy Wheeldon Jr. has been impressive all season. The familiar crop of players that featured under Wheeldon Jr. finished at the top of the table with an (8-2-0) record clinching the Spring Season title.

Despite dropping points at Westhills Stadium last week, the Alberta side will look to get back to winning ways for the new season in Langford this weekend.

July 6 is an important game for Pacific FC as they look to prove that Canada Day’s performance against Cavalry was not a one time result. Meanwhile, Cavalry FC will want to set things straight and get back on top heading into the second portion of the CPL.
