BC Hydro is changing poles and lines along Highway 14 (Sooke Road) between Woodruff Road and Kangaroo Road.
The work is scheduled to start this week, with work being done overnight between 7 PM and 5 AM.
The work is expected to be completed by April 24.
Depending on weather conditions, site constraints, or other operational requirements, the schedule may be extended.

Commuters and tourists:
Commuters, business deliveries and tourists to and from Metchosin and Sooke (and beyond into Juan de Fuca) may wish to note this traffic advisory.
Expect lane closures:
To safely complete this work lane closures will be in place while work is underway.
In areas where the highway is double-lane, traffic will operate as single-lane alternating. In areas with three lanes, two lanes will remain open for traffic.
Electronic message boards & safety:
To keep drivers informed, electronic message boards will be installed at key locations. Traffic control personnel will be on site. Drivers should plan, drive with caution and expect delays.
Please keep to the safe speed limit in work zones and follow the directions of the flaggers.
Improving services:
“We regret the inconvenience, but the work is required to help us improve the system that serves Sooke and the surrounding area,” says BC Hydro.
“Thank you for your patience and cooperation as we complete this work safely.”
