The Victoria Sports Awards celebrate excellence in sport and community.
The Greater Victoria Sport Tourism Commission is organizing the Victoria Sports Awards, presented by the Victoria Foundation and supported by Destination Greater Victoria.
The Victoria Sports Awards ceremony will be held on Thursday February 27 at Government House in Victoria. Tickets at $75 are available for purchase online.
Now, three years into the revival of this local sports tradition, the awards continue to honour the exceptional achievements of athletes, coaches, volunteers, and officials.
The event will celebrate the accomplishments from the 2024 calendar year.
Return of the awards:
“The return of the awards has been met with overwhelming enthusiasm from both the business and sport communities,” says Keith Wells, Executive Director, Greater Victoria Sport Tourism Commission.

This year, the event will support the Pacific Institute for Sport Education (PISE), and their Gift of Play Program, to further underscore the positive impact of sports on the community.

• Female College/Male College/University Athlete of the Year
• Female/Male Master Athlete of the Year
• Female/Male ‘Ok’wilagame’ Indigenous Athlete of the Year
• Team of the Year
• Female/Male Athlete of the Year
• Pat Hall Volunteer Award
• John & Marilyn Bate Organization of the Year
