September 7 ~ BC. The new Grade 10 curriculum starting Sept 2018 “offers opportunities for teachers to engage their students in new and innovative ways of learning and to foster creativity,” says BC Minister of Education Rob Fleming.

Goals include better preparation for college, university and employment. New K-9 curriculum was introduced in Sept 2016.
SD62 says one of the largest changes for Grade 10 is English.

There are now five courses that allow for personalized learning: New Media, Composition, Creative Writing, Literary Studies, and Spoken Language. Career-life education in Grade 10 will foster exploration about careers, passions and interests.

Flexible learning spaces in SD62 schools are intended to support unique learning experiences.
