Multiple charges for suspect breaking into Colwood construction site

On August 9th 2020, at approximately 11:25 pm the West Shore RCMP received a report of a break and enter at the Colwood Corners construction site located at 1913 Sooke Rd in Colwood.

A security company advised that that a male suspect wearing a backpack was observed entering the south side of the building, it was stated in a news release today from West Shore RCMP.

West Shore RCMP says their frontline officers were on scene within minutes and spotted the suspect later identified as 33-year-old Adrian Graham. Officers informed Graham that he was under arrest for break and enter. Graham initially saw police and ran away but was caught a few minutes later.

Tools and drugs in backpack:

A search of Graham’s back pack incidental to arrest, revealed multiple tools, torches, narcotics, a collapsible baton and brass knuckles. Police learned Graham was currently bound by court imposed conditions to not possess any weapons, as such he was also arrested for breaching his conditions and possession of a prohibited weapon.

The suspect was remanded in custody awaiting court and has been charged with break and enter, possession of a weapon dangerous to the public, breach of probation order and possession of a controlled substance.
