On Wednesday September 24, at least two vehicles were involved in a collision in the southbound lane of Highway 1 (Trans Canada Highway) near the Helmcken Road exit.
The collision occurred around 3:30 pm, says West Shore RCMP.
Both southbound lanes and one northbound lane were shut down at that location while emergency crews attended the scene, say RCMP.
Traffic delays during the commuter time period were to be expected and use of alternative routes was advised by police.
Traffic reopened by about 5 pm according to West Shore RCMP social media.
So far there are no reports about injuries or cause of the crash.
