Monday, December 03 ~ VIEW ROYAL.

Mitzi Dean, MLA (Esquimalt-Metchosin) hosted her holiday season open house at her constituency office in View Royal on Monday, December 3.

The drop-gathering 4 to 6 pm during the peak of local commuter rush hour produced a modest turnout.

The constituency office at #104-1497 Admirals Rd is within the popular Admirals Walk shopping mall (anchor tenant Thrifty Foods).

People mingled and enjoyed light refreshments.

Guests brought donations of non-perishable food items for the Esquimalt Neighbourhood House.

Mitzi Dean is the Parliamentary Secretary for Gender Equity. She has held office as an MLA since the provincial election of 2017. Since then she has attended numerous events including representing the premier at various local events in his absence.

Dean gave a short speech at the SD62 school board inaugural meeting on November 13.

She also recently hosted a BC NDP event in Victoria designed to encourage more women to run for elected office. A writeup about that November 20 event, at which Deputy Premier Carole James was also a speaker, is on page 2 in the November 23, 2018 issue of West Shore Voice News.

Dean’s constituency area includes Esquimalt, Colwood, Metchosin and parts of View Royal.
