Man stabbed on E&N trail near Station Ave in Langford

A man was stabbed in the back while walking on the paved E&N walking trail near Station Avenue on Friday evening, October 11. The incident happened at 9:55 pm as the 18-year-old was heading toward the Langford bus exchange.

The victim incurred non-life threatening injuries. He was transported to hospital and is expected to make a full recovery, say West Shore RCMP.

West Shore RCMP front line officers and a police service dog searched the area extensively, however the suspect was not located and is not identified at this time, says Cpl. Chris Dovell, West Shore RCMP.

The suspect is described as a blonde Caucasian male, approximately 30 years old, tall at 6’4″, and wearing blue jeans and a black or grey hoodie.

The West Shore RCMP major crime unit is seeking the public’s assistance in this investigation. Anyone who witnessed this crime or have dash cam video near the Langford bus exchange on October 11 between 9 pm and 10 pm are asked to contact investigators.
