Your 28-day voter’s guide for BC Election 2024
The cool crisp weather put a bit of a dent on attendance at the Luxton Fall Fair today but the three political parties vying for wins in the upcoming BC provincial elections had their presence out in full colours.
Blue for BC Conservative, Green for the BC Greens, and orange for the BC NDP.
Langford-Highlands BC Conservative candidate Mike Harris started off the noon-hour opening with a few hours at his information booth.
Langford-Highlands BC NDP candidate Ravi Parmar arrived at 2 pm for an afternoon shift.
Juan de Fuca-Malahat BC NDP candidate Dana Lajeunesse was at the Ravi Parmar booth most of the day.
The BC Greens table promoted a few regional candidates including Juan de Fuca-Malahat candidate David Evans (who attended in the afternoon) and Esquimalt-Colwood candidate Camille Currie (who was represented by party volunteers).
The one-on-one chats with voters are how candidates of every party chips away at their success with voters, one conversation at a time.
Otherwise, younger folks and families were there for the rides, games and food. Others toured through the harvest-season displays inside the old Luxton fairgrounds buildings.
