Someone who bought a Lotto Max ticket in Richmond, BC for the July 26, 2019 draw is going to be $60 million richer as soon as they come forward to claim their prize.
BC Lottery Corporation (BCLC) will reveal the location of where the winning ticket was sold in Richmond, as soon as the winner comes forward.
This is BC’s largest-ever lottery prize. BCLC’s July 27 news release about the matching numbers calls this a ‘life changing prize’.
The winning number were 11 / 15 / 17 / 20 / 24 / 25 / 50 and the winner matched all seven of those numbers. The Bonus number for that draw was 30.
Indeed, unless the winner gives it all away, it will likely change their employment, their friends, their home lifestyle, and activities. Most of the time they are thrust into the public eye, at least for a short time. Relations with friends and family can be changed, and not always for the better. If they take on the lifestyle of the rich and famous it will in many cases be a life overhaul on every level, unless they are already wealthy to that degree.
Lottery winners have 52 weeks from the draw date to come forward to claim their prize.

• The largest prizes ever won in B.C. were three $50 million Lotto Max jackpots in October 2010, March 2014 and in April 2016
• Starting in May, Canadians who play Lotto Max have seen significant changes with the introduction of a brand-new Tuesday draw, allowing jackpots to grow more quickly.
• The main Lotto Max jackpot can now grow to as much as $70 million
• The odds of winning the main Lotto Max jackpot are 1 in 33,294,800 per $5 play
• The overall odds to win a prize are 1 in 7 per $5 play
British Columbians have claimed over $108 million in Lotto Max prizes so far in 2019, including a $25.9 million jackpot won in Merritt in February 2019.
