Liberal candidate Blair Herbert (Cowichan-Malahat-Langford) will be hosting a meet-and-greet in central Langford tomorrow: Friday April 18 from 12:30 to 2:30 pm.
The two-hour drop-in casual event to meet and chat with the candidate will be held at Poncho’s Cafe, 115-755 Goldstream Avenue.
Everyone is welcome.
This is Herbert’s third run at becoming the member of parliament for the large riding that spans Langford, the Juan de Fuca areas up to Port Renfrew, and the east side of south Vancouver Island including Cobble Hill, Mill Bay, Cowichan Valley and Duncan.
Blair Herbert was just a few days into his Liberal campaign in Cowichan-Malahat-Langford when Liberal Leader Mark Carney came to town for a rally of the party faithful in downtown Victoria on April 6.

Herbert joined the party leader in the crowd at the Edelweiss Club in Victoria which was full to its capacity of 300 people, and more Liberal supporters waited outside.

The next day, Herbert had a chance to discuss issues of concern to voters, in a chat with Carney after the Liberal Leader’s April 7 media event about national parks held outdoors in Saanichton.

Issues discussed by Carney and Herbert that day included financial security for seniors in challenging economic times, expansion of the Guaranteed Income Supplement for seniors, softwood lumber, and housing.
