Brookeline Publishing House Inc is looking for a website developer to work part-time during the fall of 2020 (September-December; or could be extended into winter 2021), to continue developing the news portal website functionality at www.islandsocialtrends.com

  • All work to be done in WordPress.
  • All work to be done remotely, given COVID-19 social distancing requirements.
  • Intermediate-level experience with web design and WordPress is required, even if that is at the high school level.
  • You have a strong desire to produce excellence in online interfaces.
  • Applicant must demonstrate a sense of business responsibility, and be able to work independently but as part of a larger project.

This is a Canada Summer Jobs position. The government specifies persons age 15 to 30 as eligible for this employment. Journalism has been deemed an essential service during COVID-19, and this technical position supports that goal.

This is a great opportunity for an intermediate-level web portal designer to boost their resume toward a career goal in web development.
