For the Greater Victoria area this evening, Environment Canada reports rain ending near midnight then partly cloudy.
Winds will be strong. This is due to a Pacific low pressure system will move across the BC south coast today and tonight.
The forecast at 4 pm listed winds southeast 70 km/h gusting to 90, then becoming southwest 30 gusting to 50 early this evening then increasing to 70 gusting to 90 late this evening. Temperature more in the wintery range than in previous days, wit a low of 8 degrees celcius.
For Sunday:
Mainly cloudy. 60 percent chance of showers in the afternoon. Wind west 30 km/h gusting to 50 becoming light in the morning. High 10. UV index 1 or low.
The night forecast for Sunday is partly cloudy wit 60 percent chance of shows. A low of 5 degrees.

The week ahead:
Monday partly sunny, then cloudy for the rest of the week.
Rainy from Tuesday evening through to and including Friday which is Halloween (October 31).
