Another year at the DeMamiel Creek Golf Course in Sooke is coming up starting this Thursday, March 25.

Golfing has been popular during COVID due to being outdoors and easy to physically distance.

The par-3 golf course is open seven days a week. Special rates are in place for youth and seniors.

  • Youth (age 8 to 16): $10 for 9 holes | Age 8 to 13 must be accompanied by an adult.
  • Seniors (age 60+): $15 for 18 holes, Mon-Fri

The regular rate for adults is $15 for 9 holes or $25 for 18 holes.

The golf course is popular for its central location within Sooke at 6518 Throup Road just east of town centre, near Journey Middle School, and for the low admission fees.

The course is fun for all skills and abilities, whether you are new to golf, or you want to practice your short game. Situated in a quiet tree lined setting, this course provides a challenge for both beginners and the more experienced golfer. There is no driving range.

A few things different during COVID:

The putting green is closed for now.

Everyone on the course must have their own set of clubs, says SEAPARC, though some limited equipment rental is available.

Paying & arriving on time:

  • Players must pay before teeing off
  • Tee Times are on a first come first served basis. You cannot book a tee time in advance.
  • Maximum 4 players in one group
  • Children who are not golfing are not permitted on the course under any circumstances

How to pay:

Three payment methods are available. Pay by phone at 250.642.8000 or you can pay onsite at the golf course via credit card (Visa or MasterCard) or the cash drop box. SEAPARC Reception is currently closed and therefore Debit is not accepted at this time.
