For a few hours on a Friday evening mid-way in December toward Christmas, Santa showed up at the Juan de Fuca Rec Centre.

There were crafts and activities for the kids.

And free skating in the arena.

Organized by West Shore Parks and Recreation, the family-friendly event ran 4 to 7 pm in the nicely decorated building, on the evening of December 9.

The Juan de Fuca Rec Centre is owned and operated by West Shore Parks and Recreation (which is owned by five west shore municipalities: Langford, Colwood, Metchosin, Highlands and View Royal).
