Advance Voting for the federal election is available for four days straight over the Thanksgiving long weekend: Friday October 11, Saturday October 12, Sunday October 13, and Monday October 14.  From 9 am to 9 pm local time.

Check for any variation in times as well as available locations for your riding on the Elections Canada website, where you can enter your postal code to do the search. Advance voting locations are also shown on your Voter Card which will be delivered by postal mail.

One of the Langford-area voting stations will be at Eagle Ridge Community Centre, 1089 Langford Parkway (see website for other locations).

You can vote by mail if you apply online no later than 3 pm Pacific Time on Tuesday October 15, or in person at a local Elections Canada office no later than 6:00 p.m. local time on Tuesday October 15. Fill out the form here.

You can also vote anytime now (October 4 forward) up to 6 pm on Tuesday October 15 by ‘special ballot’ (know how to spell your candidate choice correctly, as you may have to write it in manually) at any Elections Canada office in Canada (in Langford there’s an office at 2401 Millstream Road, Unit C105).

The Elections Canada offices are open *daily*:

  • Monday to Friday: 9 a.m. — 9 p.m.
  • Saturday: 9 a.m. — 6 p.m.
  • Sunday: noon — 4 p.m

The federal General Election date is Monday October 21. Polls open 7 am to 7 pm that day.
