Another year at the DeMamiel Creek Golf Course in Sooke opens today March 17 and runs through September.

Located just 35 minutes from Victoria in Sooke, the 9-hole executive par 3 course is fun for all skills and abilities.

The course is popular with golf enthusiasts who are new to the game and those who want to practice their short game.

Situated in a quiet tree-lined setting, Demamiel Creek Golf Course provides a challenge for beginners and more experienced golfers.

The course is open seven days a week. Hours of operation are subject to change depending on the weather, time of year, event bookings and scheduled maintenance:

  • Spring/Fall: 8am-6pm
  • Summer: 8am-8pm

A few guidelines:

  • Players must pay before teeing off.
  • Tee times are on a first come first served basis. You cannot book a tee time in advance.
  • Maximum four players in one group.

Fees:

Fees can be paid onsite at the golf course via credit card (Visa or MasterCard), debit or cash.

The adult per-game fee is $17.50 (compared to $15.50 two years ago). There is now a Senior’s fee (age 60+) of $15.75.

The annual adult pass fee is $525, which is $50 higher than in 2023. The Adult 10 Pass Convenience Card is now $157.50 (compared to $138 two years ago).

The Youth pass at $225 has not increased in price since 2023, but the per-visit price is now $11 (up from $10.25 in 2023). Youth is now called ages 6 to 18 (changed from 8 to 18 a few years ago).

$45 for a family of up to four

An extra round is now $10.50 (up from $10 two years ago). Pull cart rental is $5.25.

The golf course is operated by SEAPARC Recreation Centre (owned by the Capital Regional District / CRD), the nine-hole recreational feature within the SEAPARC range of offerings is supported by the tax base of residents of the District of Sooke and the Juan de Fuca Electoral District.

The golf course is popular for its central location within Sooke at 6518 Throup Road just east of town centre and for the low admission fees.

The course is fun for all skills and abilities, whether you are new to golf, or you want to practice your short game. Situated in a quiet tree lined setting, this course provides a challenge for both beginners and the more experienced golfer. There is no driving range.
