Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre will be in Duncan on Vancouver Island this weekend.
He will be headlining a town hall with a focus on safety and affordability.
The 2 pm town hall on Saturday January 10 at the Cowichan Exhibition building (Mellor Hall) at 7380 Trans Canada Highway, will be hosted by Cowichan-Malahat-Langford MP Jeff Kibble.

Anyone wishing to attend must register (or RSVP on Jeff Kibble’s Facebook page).
Safety and affordability:
Kibble’s office says the Vancouver Island Town Hall is an opportunity to hear Poilievre’s plan to:
- Axe the Tax: lowering the price of gas, heat and groceries for everyone
- Build the Homes: making home ownership possible for workers and downsizing easier for seniors.
- Fix the Budget: Ending the inflationary spending that devalues hard-earning savings.
- Stop the Crime: Ensuring that neighbourhoods in Langford, Duncan and the Cowichan Valley are safe again.
Leadership review:
The Conservative Party leadership review takes place January 29 to 31 in Calgary.
Poilievre’s review comes in the context of losing his seat in the 2025 federal election and losing three MPs in recent months (two due to floor-crossing to the Liberals).
Poilievre has, of late, been offering more interviews to professional mainstream media than he did earlier last year including during and following the April 2025 election.
