This afternoon in Colwood there was a serious vehicle incident at the corner of Island Highway and Ocean Boulevard.
At approximately 2:30 pm fire trucks and ambulance were heading to the scene.
The RCMP report has yet to be issued. But it appears that a small red car and a motorcycle were involved in the inicident.
There appeared to be at least two people injured… one could be seen on a stretcher and the other was being tended to on the pavement by paramedics.
Police and tow truck were on scene.
Northbound traffic on Island Highway was backed up for a while but had cleared before 3:30 pm.
It’s a bright sunny day today with warm spring temperatures.
Location:
The crash location is near the Westshore Parks and Recreation facility, the Park and Ride, and a range of retail stores and businesses.
It’s always a busy stretch of roadway as traffic heads to and from Highway 1 and the other way along Highway 14, as well as attending to various activities and errands in the area.
