EVENT PREVIEW – by Island Social Trends
A public drop-in Ideas Fair for about about Langford will happen on Saturday October 18.
The Ideas Fair is being hosted by the City of Langford at the downtown Langford campus of Royal Roads University (aka John Horgan campus), 798 Goldstream Ave.
The Ideas Fair runs from 11 am to 2 pm.
It’s an opportunity for community members to engage in meaningful discussions, provide feedback, and ask questions of City staff and subject matter experts on key community initiatives.
The focus of the day is several master plans and strategies that are under development:
- Arts & Culture Strategy
- Economic Development Strategy
- Transportation Master Plan
- Active Transportation Plan
- Parks and Trails Master Plan
Participants can enjoy light refreshments and a children’s activity area, with bicycle parking and EV charging available on site.

As part of the event, attendees are invited to join a guided Bikeshop Tour.
Ride an Evolve e-bike or e-scooter, or bring your own, and join consultants to help identify areas for improvement such as sidewalk gaps, difficult intersections, and cycling infrastructure.
