While waiting for a friend at Elements Casino in View Royal a man decided to try his hand on the BCLC online gambling platform called PlayNow.
Curtis R. placed a $2 wager on MegaJackpots Cash Eruption. His bet turned into a stunning $550,690 prize, said BC Lottery Corporation in a news release on March 24.
“I was playing poker at the casino and I called my buddy to ask him to come out and join me. While I was waiting for him, I played some slots on my phone,” said Curtis.
He says the winnings will help make a tentatively planned family trip to Disneyland happen a lot quicker, and says he will buy a new truck with the winnings.
Elements Casino:
Elements Casino is at 1708 Island Highway in View Royal.
Revenues from that casino are collected by the Province and shared with two local municipalities — View Royal and Langford.
