The night time temperatures in the Greater Victoria area will fall below zero tonight and on Saturday and Sunday nights this weekend.
Except near the water where nighttime low will be about 2°C. Otherwise, the wind chill overnight will be much colder at -8°C.
That’s according to the Environment Canada weather forecast for the Greater Victoria area.
The forecast indicates that fog patches will develop overnight, with winds northeast 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h. But Saturday and Sunday will be bright after the morning fog lifts, with highs around 5°C to 6°C.
Monday to Wednesday:
The forecast for Monday through Wednesday indicates cloudy days with rain on Monday night, but night time temperatures will remain above zero.
The day time temperature will be more in the 8°C range on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Warmer in previous weeks:
This spate of colder weather comes on the heels of some moderate temperatures in mid-January, without much variation between day and evening and certainly not close to freezing.
