The changes will include:
• Implementation of summer service routing and schedules
• Continued temporary suspension of Friday and Saturday late-night service
• Regular seasonal summer service increases to Swartz Bay Ferry Terminal, Butchart Gardens and Thetis Lake will not be implemented

“BC Transit continues to work hard to provide transportation services you can rely on. We continue to monitor the COVID-19 response, and implement plans as appropriate,” it was stated by the transit provider in light of a significant reduction in bus ridership since the pandemic hit in mid-March.

Front door loading and fare collection resumes June 1:

BC Transit will also be implementing front door loading and collection of fares as of June 1, 2020. A full driver door or vinyl panel will be installed on all buses to allow for physical distancing between the driver and passengers.
