The 23rd Annual BC Natural Resources Forum will take place in Prince George, January 20 to 22.

Being held at the Prince George Conference and Civic Centre, the Forum will host a large contingent of Indigenous, federal, provincial, and local government leaders, as well as continuing strong interest, support and attendance by representatives from resource developers and service and supply sectors that are the foundation of our resource economy.

It comes at a significant time for the BC and national economy — a pivot point where most if not all industrial and manufacturing sectors are looking to diversify their production as well as their exports.

In particular, critical minerals and softwood lumber are a top priority for the BC NDP government in their economic shift driven within the Look West trade development and diversification plan.

Prime Minister Mark Carney has been undertaking trade missions for much of the past year, currently in China and then to Qatar for a day, and to Switzerland next week for the World Economic Forum.
