The starboard generator mechanical issue with one of the BC Ferries vessels that services the major Swartz-Bay-Tsawwassen route between Victoria and Vancouver has been resolved.
That vessel is being returned to service today Sunday March 29.
That started with the 7 am departure from Swartz Bay.
While repairs were being done there was a revised schedule for March 23 to 30 for Swartz-Bay-Tsawwassen sailings.
Essential service:
Travel to and from Vancouver Island from the mainland is an essential service within the travel system for coastal BC.
This is the busy spring break period (and soon the Easter long weekend coming up starting Friday April 3) for many families and visitors.
“We know you have important places to be,” says BC Ferries to their customers, and apologizes for inconveniences.
