Schedule changes for March 23 to 30:
A schedule of cancelled and revised BC Ferries sailings on the Swartz Bay (Victoria) – Tsawwassen (Vancouver) route has been issued, for today through Monday March 30.
This comes following mechanical challenges that resulted in sailing cancellations on Sunday and Monday.
The Swartz Bay (Victoria) – Tsawwassen (Vancouver) route is the busiest in the BC Ferries operations, taking people from and to Vancouver Island and the BC mainland.
The ships in overall fleet are aging, showing frequent delays, interruptions and cancellations due to mechanical issues.
A revised scheduled for the Swartz Bay (Victoria) – Tsawwassen (Vancouver) route relies on use of a replacement vessel, says BC Ferries on March 23.
See revised schedule for March 23 to 30.
Essential service:
Travel to and from Vancouver Island from the mainland is an essential service within the travel system for coastal BC.
This is the busy spring break period (and soon the Easter long weekend coming up starting Friday April 3) for many families and visitors.
“We know you have important places to be,” says BC Ferries to their customers, and apologizes for inconveniences.
