Today September 11 the official federal election campaign began and Alistair MacGregor’s campaign is off to a running start. He is the incumbent NDP candidate for Cowichan-Malahat-Langford.
MacGregor’s campaign team has been out door-knocking all summer and into September, and that will continue.
The campaign is hosting some youth gaming nights (Wednesdays on September 11, 18 and 25) at the Duncan campaign office at 295 Trunk Road, and two Macleans Debate Viewing Parties tomorrow night Thursday September 12.
The Maclean’s Debate Viewing Parties are in two locations: in Langford at
2445 Earl’s Court (Florence Lake Road area) and the other at 295 Trunk Road in Duncan. That’s to watch the livestreamed Macleans and CityTV National Leaders Debate, as moderated by Paul Wells. The two-hour debate (which starts at 5 pm Pacific Time) in English will centre on four major themes: the economy, foreign policy, Indigenous issues and, lastly, energy and the environment. After the main segment of exchanges, each leader will have 90 seconds for a closing statement.
MacGregor will take part in an All Candidates Debate being held at Brentwood College on Saturday September 14 at 11 am. That will be livestreamed here.
On his campaign website, MacGregor posts his accomplishments of his first term in office as the MP for Cowichan-Malahat-Langford and the various issues that the federal NDP is championing.
