How to Vote

General Voting Day for the 2017 Provincial General Election is May 9, but there are lots of ways to vote.

 

Vote at advance voting

  • Advance voting is available on April 29 and 30, and May 3, 4, 5 and 6.
  • Advance voting places are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (local time).
  • All voters can vote at any advance voting place, and all advance voting places are wheelchair accessible.

 

Vote on General Voting Day

  • General Voting Day is Tuesday, May 9.
  • Voting places will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (Pacific time).

 

Vote at any district electoral office

 

Vote by mail

  • Voters can ask for a vote by mail package from now until 4 p.m. on General Voting Day.
  • Packages can be requested using the online form or by calling 1-800-661-8683.  Packages should take approximately 7 days to arrive by mail.
  • Request a vote by mail package  | https://eregister.electionsbc.gov.bc.ca/sform/general/Forms/alt_absentee_voting_request.asp  
  • You may also request a vote by mail package at a district electoral office.
  • The completed package must be returned to the district electoral office that issued the package by 8 p.m. (Pacific time) on May 9.  A postage paid return envelope will be included in your package.
