Last year about 17,000 people attended along several city blocks of Goldstream Avenue from Peatt Rd to Veterans Memorial Parkway, and the area for 300 cars on display filled up to overflowing.

The bigger footprint of the cars this year will also accommodate more visitors to the event this year. The event runs 10 am to 2 pm. There will be public parking at Langford City Hall, and on Claude Road and Danbrook Road.

Road closure on Sunday for the Show & Shine is on Goldstream Avenue from Peatt Road to Veterans Memorial Parkway, and portions of both Bryn Maur Road and Claude Road will be closed to all through-traffic from 7 amt to 4 pm.

And next weekend will be the grand opening of the expanded Westhills Stadium on Saturday August 24, as well as the unveiling of the Sarah Beckett Memorial Park that day. That big day runs from 11 am to 2:30 pm, with a Pacific FC Home Game at 3 pm. The City has been working hard to make sure the day goes off without a hitch.

“All of this activity is an exciting way to end the summer with friends and family without having to drive far,” says the mayor.
