The IslandSocialTrends.ca news portal encountered some technical problems on September 20. The site has been down for 48 hours, but is now back in operation (with some glitches still to be resolved).
News that happened September 20 and 21 included the resignation of the BC Conservatives leader (Kerry-Lynne Findlay) on September 20 and a new interim leader (Lorne Doerkson) coming into place yesterday.
BC Premier David Eby is expected to announce a snap election today, September 22, outside of Government House at 12:15 pm today.
- This will overlap with the municipal and school trustee campaigns that are underway toward the election date of October 17, 2026.
- The provincial election is likely to be held on October 24, 2026.
